
Geoff Stock, born and educated in Bristol, went on to
study at St John’s College Durham, where he gained a
General Arts Degree and Diploma in Education. This led
to a teacher career in which he particularly enjoyed
teaching English, History, Religious Education and Games.
In 1975, concerned by the shortage of youth facilities in his area, Geoff
founded Horfield Young People’s Club, and in 2017, which still leader of the
club, he was awarded an MBE for services to Youth and Community in Horfield, Bristol.
Geoff has always loved writing, and in 2023 he had his first book published, ‘Jimmy Evans and the New School’,a great read for children transitioning to secondary school.
‘Trampoline Boy’ is a gripping story for younger readers, ideal for self-reading or for being read to the child by parents or older siblings, as together they
join young Billy on an adventure he will never forget.
